New Relic, the intelligent observability platform, today announced the appointment of Steve Lucas to Chair of its Board of Directors. Lucas is an accomplished technology executive with nearly 30 years of experience scaling market-leading enterprise software companies.

Lucas currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Boomi, guiding its long-term strategy, operational execution, and global business growth. His extensive enterprise SaaS leadership experience includes serving as CEO of iCIMS and Marketo, as well as holding senior executive roles at SAP, Salesforce, Adobe, and Business Objects. Throughout his executive career, he has specialized in guiding global cloud software organizations through scale, market expansion, and operational excellence.

While the CEO of Marketo, he drove a comprehensive business transformation that culminated in a $4.75 billion acquisition by Adobe. During his tenure as CEO of iCIMS, he expanded its product portfolio to serve 40% of the Fortune 100 while significantly scaling the company’s valuation through strategic expansion.
