Gladia to Join OVH Groupe, Accelerating Europe’s Sovereign Voice AI Ambitions

Gladia, the AI audio infrastructure provider trusted by more than 300,000 developers and 2,000 enterprise customers worldwide, announced July 31st, that it has been acquired by OVH Groupe, the parent company of OVHcloud and Europe’s leading sovereign cloud provider.

The transaction would bring Gladia’s speech-to-text technology, voice models, and team into OVH Groupe. Gladia will continue to operate as an independent product line under its own brand — with the same API and the same direct relationship with its customers and partners.

Combined with more than two decades of infrastructure expertise from OVH Groupe — over 500,000 servers across 46 data centers on four continents — the deal gives Gladia’s product line a direct path to more compute capacity for lower-latency real-time transcription, greater resilience, and deeper European data residency guarantees, as well as the ability to innovate at a much larger scale.

Building Europe’s voice layer, together

The deal follows OVHcloud’s acquisition of OVHai LLM (originally founded in 2011 under the name Lingua Custodia, then known as Dragon LLM) earlier this year, which marked the launch of OVHcloud’s AI Lab — an initiative dedicated to training and fine-tuning the next generation of sovereign generative, agentic, and multimodal AI. With Gladia, that lab gains its voice layer: a full-stack API to process, understand, and structure audio across more than 100 languages, already embedded in products from companies including HeyGen, Livestorm, Selectra, Circleback, Recall.ai, Noota, and Leexi.

The acquisition also clears a path to native voice AI services distributed through OVHcloud and OVHai to a global customer base of 1.7 million, enabling Gladia to go head-to-head with the largest players in the industry.

What this means for Gladia customers and partners

• No action needed. Your account, integrations, and API remain exactly as they are today.
• Gladia stays Gladia. The product continues to operate as its own independent line, under its own brand, with the same team you know — not folded into or replaced by another platform.
• Same team, same roadmap. The people you work with, the product you rely on, and the pace of development don’t change.
• Contracts and pricing are unaffected. Existing agreements and SLAs continue to be honored. Any future changes will be communicated well in advance, never sprung on you.
• More resources to accelerate innovation. Backing from one of Europe’s largest cloud infrastructure providers means faster scaling, stronger resilience, and more innovation, with full EU data sovereignty by design.
